剧情的背景其实就是在原著的基础上，做了些科幻式的改编。原著中的黑暗、混沌在这里成了太阳黑子爆发，而原本的一个石猴的问世变成了三颗陨石的陨落和神化。要打败天魔，惟一方法是要某年某月某日某时某刻某分某秒出世的人，由其中一颗陨石的化身护送他到西天取三藏真经。。有一天，一个男人因被贸易公司社长背叛而自杀。他的儿子和表弟发誓要向社长复仇，两人制定了周密的计画，准备完全犯罪，但是经验值零的两人，事情并不是那么顺利。要在哪里遇到？需要的物资？什么时候进行？。Filming took place in Costa Rica, making this the first season of Paradise to be filmed somewhere other than Mexico.
